Definition

  • Lymphocytosis is an increase in the peripheral blood lymphocyte concentration.
  • It is defined as an absolute lymphocyte count > 4.0 x 109/L in adults and 7.0 x 109/L in children
  • Relative lymphocytosis is defined as > 45% peripheral blood lymphocytes in adults and > 70% lymphocytes in children.
