Definition

  • Malignancy in the liver
    • Primary hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)
      • Usually occurs in a cirrhotic liver
    • Fibrolamellar carcinoma
      • Tends to occur in young adults without underlying cirrhosis
    • Hepatoblastoma
      • Tumor of infancy
    • Angiosarcoma
    • Epithelioid hemangioendothelioma
      • Borderline malignancy; most cases are benign
    • Metastatic tumors
      • Occur from multiple types of primary cancers
